Vendor Master Data (VMDM) is the central source of truth for vendor and supplier information across Maersk's enterprise systems. It supports procurement, accounts payable, and vendor management throughout the complete vendor lifecycle.

The Vendor domain manages the complete lifecycle of vendor data from prospect creation through activation, maintenance, and eventual deactivation. Every vendor progresses through a structured workflow ensuring data quality, compliance validation, and governance approval.
Vendor Lifecycle

| PENDING | Prospect progressing through onboarding and approval |
| ACTIVE | Fully approved and authorised for transactions |
| SUSPENDED | Temporarily restricted from transactions |
| INACTIVE | Permanently deactivated |
| REJECTED | Failed onboarding or compliance validation |
