Concern Functionality
Concern Group: Group of legally affiliated Maersk customer codes under a single Parent company. Each group will have a unique Concern Code. In CMD the concern code begins with two letters “WW” followed by digits eg. WW23079. The concern identifier from Legacy master data system begins with three asterisks “***” followed by digits eg. ***23079. Its mandatory to have one parent and atleast one child linked to form a concern group.
Concern Parent (Is_Concern): Version 3.0 | Last Updated: 07 July 2024 Classification: Internal 2 The entity at the top of the corporate ownership structure (the company that holds the most shares). This means the Parent company should be the global ultimate owner of all the codes linked within the concern group. Also referred to as the “Is Concern”/Represents Concern” entity. A global ultimate parent company is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of its subsidiary companies around the world.
Concern member: Every concern group will have one parent code linked to one or more child customer codes. These child customers are the subsidiaries, branches, shareholders within the Multinational company, conglomerates. The child customer is termed as “Concern member”
List of Validations or checks performed during Concern Creation or linking Concern
- Concern cannot be created without IsConcern linkage.
- Concern can get create with only one IsConcern and one or more concern members relationships.
- A Customer can only be part of One Concern at a time.
- Only Active/Suspended customers can be linked to Concern as Parent(IsConcern) or Child(Concern Member)
- Customer pending in workflow cannot be linked to Concern as Parent or Child.
