Business Requirement on BBU

In certain business situation business people need to update customer, contact and concern data in bulk/mass without using the CMD portal to update it manually one by one record. To save time of updating such high volume of records, CMD application need to provide a capability to upload such data updates in bulk through CMD Portal UI.

Master BBU epic which has the templates and error files - CMD1-432 -User should be able to add/edit data using the BBU feature Done

Below are the various sections of the information of customer, contact and concern entities.

  4. Update parent and child codes in concern - CMD1-600 -Update parent and child concern via BBU To Do

  6. Update contact details - CMD1-2110 -BBU for updating contact details To Do

After BBU job gets completed user should be able to get report on how many records are processed successfully and how many are failed. By looking at the report user can fix the data issue and can reprocess the data.

BBU Templates:

Below attachment has all the BBU templates in Excel format. All the template names are mentioned below.

3BLK_UPDATE_CUST_TAX_REF_NUMUsed to update customer Tax and customer reference number details along with country code in case of Tax number
4BLK_UPDATE_CUST_SEGMENTUsed to update customer Brand+Segmentation Type + Segmentation Code combination for a customer.
5BLK_UDPATE_CUST_RELATIONSHIPUsed to update the relationship data between customer to customer or customer to concern. Data elements like Parent customer, child customer, relationship type and dates are part of the template.
6BLK_UPDATE_CUST_CBUUsed to update the CBU details.
7BLK_UPDATE_CUST_CONTACTUsed to update the contact information. There are 25 fields available in the template to update contact information. Data fields like first name, last name, contact type, salutation codes, Job title, Dept, Dialing codes for mobile, fax phone and email details. There are few fields are mandatory and those details are mentioned in the template.
